X-ZAC Fibre optic cable:
A NEW high-end cable, the X-ZAC, features an all-metal TosLink construction, which aligns the fibre optic 'beam' more securely and more accurately into the socket. Furthermore, the ends of the fibre optic cable have been triple polished in order to minimise any diffraction effects likely when light enters or exits the cable.
The ZAC fibre optic cables have specially polished ends, which minimises entry and exit diffraction.
And by using a low loss polymer cable, this permits the ZAC cable to be used in a wide range of lengths upto 15 metres. These cables can also be used with the new generation of DAB Digital Radio's (for instance to record straight to mini-disc) as well as the new set-top boxes that can output digitally-encoded surround sound signals broadcast by satellite.
The ZAC Mini cables are designed for use with portable MD players/recorders, which feature a 3.5mm mini-TosLink socket.
All Supra X-ZAC and ZAC cables are suitable for use with Sky (and other brands) of set-top box, that feature fibre optic sockets carrying digital audio outputs (to go to your AV system).
